'Streetdance UK' is the new smash-hit from Vertigo Films, that tells the story of a Streetdance crew forced to work with classical dancers to win the UK Streetdance championships. This exciting new film due for release in 2010 sees three of our Taitt Academy tutors in lead roles. In official pictures from the film above, Rhimes, Gamez and Teneisha, will be setting our screens on fire early next year, in the UK's first street dance movie filmed in 3D. The film also includes cameo appearances from Flawless, Diversity and George Sampson. Written by Jane English this film is sure to set the screen alight. Taitt Academy will be launching it's new Adults Street Dance six-month course in January 2010. If you would like to join the course then you'll need to come along to our assessment day on Monday 7th December. The assessment will require canidates to take part in two classes of contrasting styles. The assessment is to determine which class students will be placed in either beginners or advanced. It is important to note that the assessment day is not an audition. The academy will accept all candidates applying for the course irrespective of dance experience. Whether you're a semi-professional looking for great classes or an absolute beginner, your passion and attitude for dance is the most important thing to us. If that's right, then we'll help you to master everything else. If you'd like to enrol for the course, then you will need to attend our assessment day. If you'd like to come along no need to register beforehand, just turn up and register on the day at our new course 2010 registration desk. The registration desk on the day will open at 6.30pm. The assessment session will commence at 7pm and will finish at 9pm. The fee for the assessment will be £10.00 payable on the day. Please ensure you are suitably dressed for the class and wear appropriate footwear. Well come on, what are you waiting for ? We can't wait to see you there !!! There's a new show being made by BBC 3 called 'Move Like Michael Jackson'. The show are looking for acts from different dance genres Ballroom to Hip-Hop, Ballet to Jazz who have been influenced by the great late Michael Jackson. The show are looking for Solos, duos and groups to take part in a competition in October.
